Welcome
At least 15 million people face life without a nationality today and another child is born stateless every 10 minutes. However, the right to a nationality is a fundamental human right and human rights are to be enjoyed by all persons, including the stateless. This website offers background, analysis and resources for engaging with human rights frameworks in order to address the root causes and the impact of statelessness. There’s also a calendar, tracking key UN human rights bodies’ meetings and deadlines.
